How can I book to attend a conference?
If you would like to attend a conference, please complete the booking form on the event flyer which can be downloaded from the events area of this website. This should then be posted or emailed to the event administrator (address on flyer) who will confirm your place and provide further information by email. Alternatively please contact Jo Nairn, Events Officer, on 01604 616537 or jnairn@standrew.co.uk to request a booking form. We are currently unable to accept online bookings.
Can I book to attend a conference by telephone?
We require a completed booking form to confirm your booking, however late bookings (made within 3 days of an event) can be made by telephone if payment is to be made by invoice or credit/debit card.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept payment by cheque, credit/debit card or you can request to be invoiced.
If requesting to be invoiced, please provide the relevant invoice address and a purchase order number (from your organisations training/finance department) to enable us to process your booking.
Who do I make my cheque payable to?
All cheques in payment of delegate places should be made payable to St Andrew’s Healthcare.
How much does a conference cost?
Delegate fees differ for each event and are listed on the event flyer, downloadable from the event page of this website. As a not for profit organisation, our conference fees are kept to a minimum.
Is there an ‘early bird’ fee?
Most of our events have a reduced fee for those booking delegate places in the early stages of an events promotion. See the event flyer for more details.
I’m a student, do I receive a discount?
Yes, we offer a 50% fee reduction if you are a student or trainee in a field related to mental health. Please advise on your booking form if this is the case, informing us of your subject of study and academic establishment.
Can I reserve a delegate place?
Yes, we can reserve you a place. To do so please contact the event administrator as shown on the booking form. However please note that your booking is not confirmed until we have received a completed booking form.
Is accommodation included in the conference fee?
No, accommodation is not included in the conference fee. Please click here to view a list of local hotels. Most are national hotel chains and within a 10-15 minute drive of the Charity.
Will lunch be provided?
A two course fork buffet lunch is provided at all of our full day events, in addition to registration, morning and afternoon refreshments. Special dietary requirements are catered for where possible. Please advise the event administrator of any special requirements on your booking form.
How do I get to St Andrew’s Northampton?
Click here for a location map and site plan of our Northampton site. This will also be provided to you when your delegate booking is confirmed. If our conferences are located elsewhere, a location map and car parking information will be emailed to you in advance of the event.
Is on site parking available?
Yes, we do have car parking on our sites however it is limited so please allow time for this when planning your journey. You will be sent a Visitor Car Parking Permit with your delegate confirmation, to be placed on your vehicle dashboard when parking within the St Andrew’s grounds.
Will handouts of the presentations be provided?
Yes, a delegate pack containing speaker profiles, presentation/workshop synopsis, and presentation slides and handouts will be provided on arrival. On rare occasions, a speaker may request not to provide handouts for reasons of confidentiality, copyright etc.
Can I obtain electronic versions of the presentations?
Yes, subject to speaker permission, after an event all delegates will be emailed a hyperlink to access electronic versions of the speaker presentations from our website.
Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend?
If your cancellation is made 10 working days before an event date we will provide a full refund, however if you do not advise of your cancellation before this time we apologise but cannot refund your delegate fee.
Can a colleague go in my place if I can no longer attend?
Yes, please advise the conference administrator of the name change as soon as possible. Otherwise please inform the events registration staff on arrival.
I cannot attend a conference but would like to obtain the speaker notes. Is this possible?
Yes, electronic versions of the speaker presentations and/or handouts can be purchased for a small fee (20% of standard delegate fee). You will be advised of how you can access the information from a secure download area of our website after the event has taken place.
Will I receive a certificate of attendance?
Yes all delegates are issued with a certificate of attendance on departure.
Are St Andrew’s conferences professionally accredited?
Where possible, St Andrew’s events are accredited by the relevant professional associations. CPD, as approved by peer group review, can be obtained from attending most of our national conferences. No more than 6 CPD points can be claimed per day (1 hour CPD for each hour of educational activity). Occasionally our events are accredited by other associations, eg the Law Society. Any accreditation will be stated on the event flyer.
