Healthcare Governance

The Healthcare Governance team at St Andrew's Healthcare ensures that policies and audits are monitored and plays a vital role in enhancing the reputation of St Andrew’s as a national specialist resource.

It is our responsibility to ensure that service user care is at the forefront of our care, and we focus on continuously monitoring our standards and innovating to provide the very best care.

We have established a department responsible for compliance with all statutory obligations and audits, which helps nurture relationships with prestigous organisations such as the Royal College of Psychiatrists and Institute of Psychiatry to develop our research capabilities to help improve the standard of care for mental health.

Our department has recently carried out two major audits in accordance with the Department of Health; the National Audit of Violence for the Men’s and Women’s services and Townsend (older people’s services), and the Quality Network for Medium Secure Unit for the Men’s and Women’s Services. Every audit helps us to improve our standards of care for both our staff and service users, which is of vital importance to us, and we have successfully completed these with no disruption to service users.
