Northampton has a wealth of amenities, and is one of the fastest growing towns with over 200,000 residents. With an 800 year history, there are numerous buildings and unspoilt countryside to explore. With great leisure, entertainment and sporting facilities, Northampton is only one hour from London and enjoys good road and rail links, with an airport close by.

Our sweeping architecture houses spacious, airy accommodation for our secure and open accommodation services.

Occupational therapy plays a significant role in our treatment plans, and this is supported by recreational facilities which enhance quality of life. These include:

  • A multi-gym
  • Café
  • Indoor swimming pool
  • Patient's Library
  • Service user recreation centre
  • Chapel and chaplaincy service
  • Primary care suite are available

Surrounding the units is 120 acres of beautiful maintained parkland. Many units have their own private gardens for residents to enjoy, and the lawn outside of our main building regularly holds events for local community groups.

A dedicated child-visiting suite with courtyard, access to refreshments and a toilet is available for our service users who have visitors under the age of 18.

St Andrew’s Healthcare has recently undergone a major food initiative with the support of the Soil Association and HRH The Prince of Wales. We aim to source 75% of our ingredients locally, and have relocated our kitchens so that food is freshly prepared on-site. There are in-house therapy rooms and kitchens to enable residents to develop daily living skills.

We have formed a partnership with Workbridge, a community-orientated charity which aims to improve independent living skills through work and community-based training, all within the security of St Andrew’s main campus. For more information on Workbridge, please click here.
