Consultant Psychiatrist, Northampton
Dr Orimalade is a Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry. Olufunto has a broad range of experience having held positions in secure and prison settings since 2004 when she worked on a forensic rehabilitation medium secure ward at the Bracton Centre. Whilst conducting her higher specialist training, Olufunto worked at Marlborough House Regional Secure Unit from 2007- 2008 and at the Oxford Clinic from 2008 - 2010. During this time she was also an honorary specialist registrar in the high secure Broadmoor Hospital and was a Clinical/Academic tutor at the University of Oxford.
It was whilst taking her higher specialist training, she developed an interest in working with people with developmental disorders and in particular in Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
She took up a special interest post in Developmental Disorders on the Geoffrey Hawkins Unit at St Andrew’s Northampton in 2008 and also at the Evenlode Clinic in 2009, both Medium Secure Units for people with Developmental Disorders and Learning Disabilities. She finished her forensic training with the Oxford Deanery in 2010 before taking up a Consultant post at St Andrew’s Northampton in January 2011.
Olufunto is the Consultant for Mackaness unit, our Medium Secure Ward for people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders in Northampton.
