We operate within a climate of risk management.
There is pharmacy involvement in relevant procedures within medical and nursing procedure files, as well as pharmacy's own procedures.
Pharmacists are encouraged to assist in detecting side effects due to medication and in particular monitoring extrapyramidal side effects.
Information for patients about their medication and known side effects/risks is available on request (written material and sessions for patients in groups or on an individual basis).
Pharmacists undertake collaborative research and have published a number of papers.
