The qualifying length of service for joining the scheme is 3 months.
Training and Development In-house training is available in our training centre plus conferences, research and clinical seminars are held regularly in the St Andrew's main building. Personal development plans are available for all employees and new staff are given a comprehensive induction. The Medical Library is available for research and study.
St Andrew's Healthcare Social Club St Andrew's has a thriving social club. Membership is free to employees and social events include regular discos, barbecues, quiz nights and Christmas parties.
Staff Restaurant The well appointed staff restaurant is open during the day to provide breakfast, lunch and evening meals at subsidised prices. The Tompkins Snack Bar is also available on site for staff to use.
Sport and Leisure Facilities The Gloucester House complex provides a wide range of facilities for service users and is also available to staff and their immediate families, at certain times. Activities available include badminton, squash and the multi-gym fitness suite. The swimming pool incorporates a sauna and Jacuzzi. In addition, there is a 9 hole golf course (nominal membership fee) and the organisation is located within more than 100 acres of beautiful grounds.
Creche Facilities St Andrew's Healthcare has reached an agreement with a local day nursery to provide a small number of subsidised places to employees with children aged between 3 months and 5 years. The nursery offers high quality care and education together with flexible opening hours (7.00am - 6.00pm)
Relocation Expenses and Hospital Accommodation St Andrew's Healthcare recognises the need to recruit and retain high calibre staff and that the availability of temporary accommodation and assistance on first appointment is a recruitment incentive. Consequently relocation expenses are provided to assist newly appointed staff subject to approval and status. St Andrew's Healthcare accommodation may be provided, if available for new staff for a maximum period of six months.
