*Rejoining The Community

*Kemsley helps adults who have an acquired brain injury prepare to rejoin the wider community. This entails recognising and treating the individual physical, medical, emotional, behavioural and cognitive needs of each patient.

The service caters for both men and women. This modern ward in which this treatment is provided has 5 individual flats with kitchens and bathrooms, and 11 single bedrooms with showers. The ward also has dining and lounge areas, laundry facilities, an indoor games area and a training kitchen. There are also rooms for individual and group work; the ward has its own garden and patio.

There is a planned programme of treatment in a safe environment which develops skills required for living in the general community.
