Pre Admission and Assessment Visits
We allow for two assessment visits prior to admission. However individual patients may require an extended pre-admission period and further visits may be charged. The need for further visits would be discussed and agreed with the referral team.

Home/Carer Visits
Transport and two escorts are provided for 4 visits per year. However a charge would be made for extra travel costs e.g. ferries, flights or overnight accommodation for escort(s). The frequency of visits is determined by the Clinical Team in consultation with the carers and interested parties.

16 Week Assessment Programme
Each service user is assessed by all members of the Clinical Team, as appropriate, during the 16 week period. The first clinical review is usually in week 17.

Emergency Clothing
All units hold a small supply of emergency clothes. However, it is the responsibility of purchasers, family, carers or social services to provide clothes for everyday needs.

Exam/College Fees
Where appropriate patients are encouraged to attend external courses and take exams as part of their treatment programme. The service will fund all necessary college and exam fees.

Incentive Monies and Benefits
St Andrew's Healthcare supports the provision of incentive money at the rate of ?2 per day within the treatment programmes. Service users are expected to use this money for incidental expenses such as toiletries, trips, CDs, games and books etc. In addition to this adults may be entitled to receive Incapacity Benefit and under 16s are entitled to receive pocket money payments from their home Social Services Department.

Sportswear and Equipment
All servcie users are entitled to sports clothing, e.g. tracksuit, trainers and shorts, to facilitate participation in physical activity within their treatment programme.

Holidays and Trips
St Andrew's Healthcare supports the provision of holidays and trips wherever possible, particularly as part of the educational programme for adolescents. Patients are encouraged to prepare for the trips and contribute to the costs where appropriate. Occasionally purchasers may be asked to contribute to the cost.

Discharge Planning
As part of the discharge planning process, service users are encouraged to visit their next placement, usually accompanied by their social worker. If a nurse escort is required as well the Package of Care includes the costs of up to 3 nurse escorted pre-discharge visits.

What is not included in the daily rate?
SRVdivSPR_bullet*Special/Constant Observation Nursing
