Forensic Adolescent Network Meeting 2008
St Andrew's Healthcare, Northampton
Friday 3 October 2008
As you may be aware the Adolescent Forensic Professional Services Network (AFPSN) enjoyed a number of successful years, hosting conferences and CPD events. Due to its success a decision was made by the membership to merge with APSA and become a special interest group. Since this time its success has waned somewhat, due to a number of different factors, including many services being unable to fund personnel on training and the like, culminating in the unfortunate cancellation of the conference in 2007.
There are still a number of professionals who believe AFPSN provided a useful forum and remit in terms of developing a network of linked up services and the sharing of best practice.
As such this one day event, in partnership with St Andrew’s Healthcare, will look at examples of innovative practice within the Forensic Child and Adolescent speciality and involve discussion groups about whether practitioners, service managers and commissioners continue to feel that co-ordinated CPD days and a network of linked up services is beneficial.
The event will be hosted at St Andrew’s Healthcare, Northampton on Friday 3 October 2008 and we would welcome you and your colleagues attendance.
We aim to have as many organisations as possible represented at this meeting, so have therefore set a limit of 3 people per organisation to attend this meeting.
