Our Facilities for Men
Our services for men are available across all three sites with Northampton offering from medium secure to predischarge facilities for men with learning disabilities, mental disorders and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. St Andrew’s Healthcare, Essex offers additional secure services for men, including a low secure personality disorder care pathway, whilst providing regional care. Created as a community environment, the purpose-built facility has 58 beds and features therapy and treatment accommodation, group activities as well as intensive care rooms. St Andrew’s Healthcare, Birmingham will provide mental health, learning disability and ASD services to the West Midlands region, as well as working closely to enhance our care pathways from Northampton.
Subject to risk assessments, service users have access to a range of recreational and physical activities on our main Northampton site including 106 acres of landscaped gardens across the Northampton campus, a resident recreation centre, multi-gym, indoor swimming pool and a primary care centre. Residents at St Andrew’s Healthcare, Essex have access to a large courtyard garden, additional garden facilities, social therapy areas, a primary care facility and a sports hall.
Northampton-based service users also have access to Workbridge, a community-orientated charity which aims to improve independent living skills through work and community-based training, all within the security of St Andrew’s main campus.
