Dr Delmage joined the St Andrew’s Adolescent service in January 2010 as Consultant Psychiatrist. Specialising in forensic adolescents Enys manages an inpatient unit within the adolescent forensic services at St Andrew’s.
Enys has a wealth of experience and prior to working at St Andrew’s predominantly worked in the NHS for over 11 years. Enys has been a leading figure in the Development of Adolescent Forensic Supported Community Placement scheme and has been instrumental in developing the adolescent service at St Andrew’s, which includes a pathway of care for adolescents with Emerging Personality Disorder (EPD), and the development of family interventions within the division.
Having graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine in 1999, Enys became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2004 and gained the qualification of LLM (Mental Health Law) in 2009. Since April 2010, Enys has been an active member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Quality Network for Inpatient CAMHS and carries out regular reviews of other units.
Enys is also a member of the Adolescent Forensic Psychiatry Special Interest Group. Enys has recently published a chapter in the CAMHS Operational Handbook and has been a contributor to a Sainsbury’s Centre for Mental Health document, and is working on an upcoming publication related to the management of psychosis in inpatient adolescent forensic units. He is also working on a PhD relating to the age of criminal responsibility internationally.
