Each facility has a spacious day area and external courtyard, situated amongst 106 acres of landscaped gardens and 19th century buildings. Our spacious, airy accommodation is accompanied by varied facilities to enhance our adolescent's quality of living. A multi-gym, café, indoor swimming pool, library, service user recreation centre and a primary care suite are available (following appropriate risk management) and provide both a facility separate from living accommodation and opportunities for individual and group therapies. St Andrew’s Healthcare’s adolescent service spans across two facilities at our Northampton site:
- Adolescent Mental Health and Learning Disability – 60 beds
Lowther consists of units with varying security. We have five linked residential units which can offer single sex accommodation. The most secure unit incorporates a special four-bed high dependency unit. Our pre-discharge facility provides bedsit-style accommodation within a low secure setting.
- Specialist Learning Disability – 40 beds
With four units of ten beds each, Malcolm Arnold House provides tailored care for young people with learning disabilities. An integrated care suite is available for more dedicated assistance with social integration.
