St Andrew’s Healthcare’s Northampton, Birmingham, Essex and Nottinghamshire sites all have facilities which cater for adult men from 18 to 70 years of age who have mental health problems, autistic spectrum disorders or learning disabilities and who require the provision of secure services.

We offer accommodation for men who present with challenging behaviour and may have complex needs, with many of our service users having a history of offending.
We provide tailored care pathways which cater for mental health disorders, learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) amongst superb facilities with dedicated resources. Comprehensive rehabilitation programmes help to ensure that service users receive the social, psychological and physical skills that they need to function safely and comfortably within the community. For those requiring longer-term care, our respected and trusted approach provides a variety of secure facilities, so men can move through the care pathway within the same environment.
All service users are provided with their own bedrooms and spacious living areas. All have access to sporting and leisure activities that aim to encourage positive contributions towards rehabilitation. Using some of the country’s best clinicians, a comprehensive risk assessment and rehabilitation programme is put in place which, supported by ongoing research, is regularly improved and refined to respond to increasingly complex requirements and behaviours.
We are continuing to prove our dedication to innovation by bridging the gaps in mental health provision. In December 2010, William Wake House will lead the way as a model for future developments, providing some of our most specialist services to date including:
Deaf service, Learning Disability, Acquired Brain Injury, Young Adult and Older Adult Mental Health Service and Aspergers Syndrome.
