Following assessment, St Andrew’s Healthcare’s multi-disciplinary team determines an individual’s care pathway which includes regular, comprehensive assessments of their physical and neuropsychiatric condition. Our treatment aims to maintain functional abilities whilst optimising physical health.
Due to the nature of the disease, we provide neuropsychiatric treatment to reduce cognitive impairment and associated behavioural disturbances. Our speech and language therapists also provide assistance with communication issues.
We have no pre-determined limit on length of stay. We work closely in partnership with the NHS and Social Services to provide re-integration into community facilities where possible.
Respite care is also available, subject to bed availability.
