Security Officer
We are looking to recruit a Security Officer to join our team who will contribute towards the continuous delivery of our Charity's security service.
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
From £21,562 Per Annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5hrs contract – Shifts cover 24/7
St Andrew’s Healthcare Security Department is looking to recruit a Security officer to work across the department covering Security, Reception and Switchboard duties on our Northampton site. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and able to take control of difficult situations in a professional manner.
You will be the face of the hospital and be stationed within all areas of the Security department including meeting and greeting all visitors to the site, patrolling as well as controlling access for all staff. Access control will also involve taking charge of issuing keys and alarms as well as several remote intercom systems. You will also be responsible for the operation of the local switchboard and CCTV systems and for the prompt communication and response in emergency incidents.
The ability to work under pressure is essential. You will be required to multitask throughout the day, to cover all reception duties and provide a professional and effective Security service. Additional duties include post sorting, general administration duties including typing and collating of reports, photocopying, laminating and issuing IDs.
The candidate will need to demonstrate good communication with clear verbal and written skills. You will also need to be flexible, reliable, and be able to work on a twelve hour shift pattern including nights. When undertaking the role of Security Officer you must be able to show initiative in a customer focussed role whilst adhering to the policies and procedures that ensure a safe environment and compliance with secure standards.
All applicants must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
