Assistant Psychologist Band 4, Men’s Mental Health Pathway, Northampton

Salary: £18,820 – £23,599 per annum, dependent on experience

St Andrews Clinical Allowance £683.00 per annum

Full-time 37.5 hours per week

Fixed term contract for one year

The Men’s Mental Health Pathway currently have a vacancy for a full-time assistant psychologist in their medium secure ward in Northampton.

The successful candidate will be an existing Assistant Psychologist wanting to gain experience with a different patient group. You will be enthusiastic and motivated with excellent organisational and communication skills. Experience of undertaking assessment is desirable and knowledge of SPSS, Word and Excel is essential.

You will join friendly colleagues from all disciplines, committed to developing the highest standards of care. You would become part of an established psychology department with qualified clinical and forensic psychologists, assistant psychologists and a Psychological Therapist. Our psychology team has a positive track record of Assistant Psychologists gaining places on doctoral courses. You will have the opportunity to contribute your ideas to help the services become truly patient-centred and evidence based. You will receive training and supervision and be encouraged to participate in research.
