Location: Northampton

Salary: £8.68 per hour

Hours: Zero hour contract

We are looking for motivated Healthcare Assistants to work within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) on a zero hour's contract so you can choose when and how many hours you work to ft around your work/life balance (average of four shifts per month required to be be worked) You will also be able to take advantage of enhanced pay and  an excellent training programme.

Your zero hour's contract will be specifically with the CAMHS / CAMHS DD IPU - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.

Shift Times Available 7 days per week:-

7.30am – 1.30pm

1.15pm – 7.45pm

7.30am – 7.45pm

7.30pm – 7.45am

(Night working will be available once  the probation  period is successfully completed)

Your role with us

Our services at the newly opened FitzRoy House are specifically designed for young people with mental illness, learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour. The CAMHS pathway provides open, low and medium secure services and all of our therapies, facilities, education and activities are designed to reach the maximum potential for our young people and enable them to move forward with their journey through life.   All successful candidates will be required to complete the Care Certificate.

As a HCA, you'll be under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional, usually a nurse, and work with doctors, psychologists and a range of other healthcare professionals.  The main contact you'll have, though, is with the people in our care.

There are no set entry requirements to become a Healthcare Assistant but there are skills and personal characteristics needed, the role can be quite active and we would therefore require you to be able to cope with the demands of an active post. To be a Healthcare Assistant in mental health care, you'll need to be:
