Carer Centre Support Worker

Location: Northampton

Salary from £17,000 - £21,000 per annum, pro rata, Career Level: Primary Contributors (Band 3)

20 hours contract – 10am to 2pm Monday – Friday. With the opportunity for additional hours to cover annual leave.

About us

Here at the Carers Centre we offer a warm and welcoming environment for the carers, family and friends of the patients in our care; a space to relax before and after visits. We also act as a hub for carers to meet and access support and guidance. We can also signpost carers to relevant supports services.

Your role with us

You will be a welcoming, friendly face to meet and greet our carers, family and friends. We tailor our approach to meet individual needs. Needs will vary, but may include providing support through listening and enabling their voice or signposting to specific services. There will also be some administration tasks, including booking visitor’s accommodation. Full training will be provided. 

Your profile

You will be caring, friendly and easy to approach. You must have excellent inter-personal skills, communication and listening skills and be able to demonstrate empathy and understanding. You will be committed and reliable and work as part of a team, but also use your own initiative. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
