The Clinical Nurse Leader is the most senior nurse on the ward, with full responsibility and accountability for the clinical operations of the ward. The Clinical Nurse Leader is responsible for the assessment and delivery of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care without supervision. The Clinical Nurse Leader will direct work for nursing team on their ward, monitor their performance, and take action where necessary to improve practice in conjunction with the Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating patient care by coordinating, delegating and supervising the care provided at the clinical level. You will be central to leading a team of clinicians to deliver person centred clinical care in secure care settings. This IPU is forward-thinking, open to new ideas and has a holistic patient centred approach to care and treatment.
