Salary:  £41,000 - £48,000 depending on experience

Hours:    Full-time 37.5 hrs per week.

 

We are currently looking for HCPC registered Counselling, Clinical or Forensic Psychologist with an interest in working with men with a diagnosis of autism who require assessment and treatment within a forensic psychiatric setting.

Your role with us

You will be an HCPC registered Counselling, Clinical or Forensic Psychologist looking for an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in the practice of clinical or forensic psychology.

You will have the opportunity to apply specialist psychological skills in the assessment, formulation and treatment of autistic adults with complex mental disorders (predominantly psychosis, but with other co-morbid conditions) in combination with the application of forensic models to treat and manage risk.

As a ward psychologist you will apply skills and expertise in clinical and risk assessments, collaboratively develop formulations; plan, sequence and deliver group or individual psychological interventions and consult to the MDT to enable our patients to improve their mental health, manage their risks and progress to greater independence.

You will be part of a team of psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists, working in a friendly multidisciplinary team based at our hospital site in Northampton.
