Healthcare Assistant – Seacole Ward (Female Ward) Women’s Medium Secure IPU

Based:  Northampton

From £16,980 + Enhancements  

Full time fully flexible - 37.5 hours per week

Seacole is for Women aged 18-65 who have a primary diagnosis of Personality Disorder. Within this, patients may exhibit severe emotional, psychiatric and behavioural difficulties who pose a significant risk of harming themselves or others and require care within a medium secure environment.

Once stabilised, patients will be offered the opportunity to engage in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) to support them in managing their emotions.

Seacole team consists of a large clinical team staff, such as Nursing staff, OT’s, TI’s, Psychology, A Consultant Psychiatrist, Speciality Doctor and Social Worker. We are an experienced, close-knit team; you will have the opportunity to develop and to achieve your own goals whilst working here on Seacole and within St Andrews Healthcare.

Your role with us

Healthcare Assistants work in our Clinical ward areas, supporting staff teams in delivering and focusing on our Patients and their rehabilitation, enabling activities of daily living and hands on care. The role can be very active and we therefore require you to be able to cope with the demands of this dynamic post.

Your profile

Applications are welcomed from well-motivated individuals who are flexible, and who must be able to demonstrate high standards of care and who possess excellent written and verbal communication skills alongside good IT literacy. You will need to have resilience to work in a secure healthcare setting and this will help you meet the challenges and expectations of working as a Healthcare Assistant.
