Senior Staff Nurse – Registered General Nurse
Autistic and Learning Disability Service, Northampton
From £24,347.00- 32,656.00 + Shift Enhancements + £1641.00 St Andrew’s Clinical Allowance
Are you committed to excellence in person centred care (PCC), striving to improve your nursing skills and expertise within a diverse challenging clinical environment?
We are seeking individuals that are able to work in fast paced environments with dynamic, multidisciplinary teams that encourage innovation and who will strive to support the delivery of quality care. If you are an enthusiastic Registered General Nurse, keen to develop your skills and knowledge, working alongside MH/LD nurses, in this specialised area, to enhance your management and clinical skills, we would like to hear from you.
The newly reconfigured learning disability and autistic spectrum disorder service is recognised for being at the forefront of innovative service developments, excellence in service delivery and its ability to manage and reduce aggressive behaviour, and an overall success in reducing levels of risk and moving service users through the pathway to lower levels of security. We have achieved this through implementation of specialist adapted therapies: Dialectical Behaviour Therapy is used directly with service users and also embedded within ward culture and practices; individual Positive Behavioural Support plans; behaviour management plans for somatoform disorders and health anxiety.
Our expert clinical team provides opportunities for teaching, mentoring and coaching. You will be an integral part of the MDT and work with dedicated professionals, committed to working with our service users to achieve the best possible outcome. There will also be extensive opportunities for continuing professional development and training, and outstanding career progression within a leading Charity.
Follow a specialist career pathway
We recognise how important our nurses are to the success of our work and the future of our organisation. So we’ve recently introduced new specialist career pathways. You can realise your full potential through a structured plan encompassing training, development, mentoring, responsibility, qualifications, research and progression – with the flexibility to follow a path into senior clinical roles or nursing management positions.
Feel at home in your surroundings
You will be working alongside like-minded professionals who share your commitment to outcomes-focused, individualised care. We aspire to deliver truly world class results, so standards are high and there’s a big emphasis on innovation and best practice. We’re a major provider of NHS Services. We’re also a charity, with a proud history and reputation. And because we re-invest our surpluses, we can always put the interests of our patients first and you can really see the impact of your work on their lives.
Enjoy great rewards
St Andrew’s will reward your contribution with an excellent salary, plus shift enhancements (30% of hourly rate for week days 8pm to 7.45am and Saturdays) and 60% of Sundays and Bank Holidays).
All candidates must meet the requirements for revalidation as set out by the NMC
