Senior Staff Nurse

Prichard Ward, Mens's Mental Health, Northampton

From £24,347.00- 32,656.00 + Shift Enhancements + £1641.00 St Andrew’s Clinical Allowance


Prichard is a bespoke 15 bed ward that usually admits patients from the St Andrew’s Adolescent Pathway once they turn 18 years old or patients can be transferred directly from prisons and other Medium Secure and High Secure Hospitals/ facilities. Patients are admitted who have a diagnosis of either mental illness, emerging personality disorder or comorbid conditions, who may pose a significant risk of harming themselves or others.


The ward uses the Good Lives model and Dialect Behaviour Therapy to address underlying causes of trauma and offending behaviour and to provide strategies to support patients in coping in daily lives.


The ward is situated in the modern facility of William Wake House which is supported by an onsite MDT team. The team work closely with the patients through the transition from CAHMS to adult services
