 £23,599 to £32,656 + £1641 + Shift Enhancements *

*30% extra Saturday/nights & 60% extra Sundays worked

Thornton is a fifteen-bedroomed High Dependency Rehabilitation Ward which provides a recovery orientated service for adult women diagnosed with mental disorder who have complex needs.

The focus of Thornton is to support women with severe and enduring mental disorder, with complex needs to make a successful transition from hospital to community living and maintaining their progress and recovery through helping women to be as mentally well as possible in order to live a meaningful life through developing the necessary skills to be able to live safely with their mental disorder.

Being a single-gender service, Thornton is able to meet the needs of women who are vulnerable in a mixed sex environment. The doors to Thornton are locked to ensure the safety of the patients through enabling staff to monitor who is entering and leaving the unit.
