Senior Healthcare Assistant – Compton Ward - Dementia and HD IPU


From £18,325 - £21,500(Depending on Experience) plus enhancements, Core Contributor - Band 3

Hours: 37.5 – Full time, fully flexible


We are looking for a motivated, interested and enthusiastic person to join our forward thinking and motivated team on Compton. Compton ward offers assessment, treatment and care for older adult males and females with a diagnosis of dementia and progressive neurological conditions.

Your role

As a senior Health Care Assistant, you will provide support that positively impacts the health and wellbeing of service users within the Dementia/HD IPU. You will be a highly visible and important front line member of staff within an established team of professionals including: Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Responsible Clinician and Social Workers. Throughout the service user’s journey, you will provide a high standard of care, working in line with the individuals treatment programme.

In addition to this you will support and mentor other HCA’s and be aligned to additional areas of practice as champions or representatives. You will play a key role in designated areas to support and improve practice on the wards.
