Nurse Practitioner / Primary Care Nurse
Salary £29,793.00 - £38,861.00 + London Fringe
We are committed to improving the physical health of all our patients by delivering high quality clinical care, which is value based and leads to outcomes that matter to the patient and their carers. Alongside this we are striving to achieve parity of esteem, giving equal value to Mental Health as to Physical Health.
St Andrew’s Healthcare is the UK’s largest mental health charity. We offer specialist services for men, women, adolescents and older people across mental health, learning disability, brain injury and degenerative disorders such as Huntington’s and Alzheimer’s. Putting Patient’s needs at the heart of everything we do, we have built an innovative culture of clinical expertise.
At our Essex site, we provide patient centred care for both men and women with a personality disorder and/or mental health issues in a low secure and locked environment.
You will provide physical healthcare for the presenting patient and be able to demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and expert physical health care for patients within a mental health setting.
The post holder will provide care for the presenting patient, from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
You will be able to diagnose and manage acute, chronic and long term conditions, integrating both pharmacological and non-pharmacological based treatment methods into a management plan.
We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner who has recent experience in urgent or primary care.
We are keen to offer development opportunities to enhance your advanced practice and leadership skills, for example Non-medical prescribing, MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and /or other postgraduate courses, relevant to your practice and personal development.
This is a very wide and varied role, which will provide fresh challenges to the right candidate.
