The Research Centre
Career Level B / Band 5
Full-Time - 37.5 hours per week – fixed term one year
Salary £ 23,000 to £ 25,500 per annum
St Andrew’s is embarking on the development of a new research programme in the use of technology, such as virtual reality (VR) for the treatment of people with mental ill-health. The post holder will be expected to play a key role in the development of this research. It is likely that an opportunity will be available to register for a PhD with a leading University upon completion of the fixed term 12-month contract.

The role and person
Based within the Research Centre at St Andrew’s Northampton, the post is designed for someone who wants to be part of an ambitious and innovative team delivering high quality research in mental illness, mental health and recovery with an emphasis on innovation and utilising technology. The Research Assistant will be a key member of the Research Centre on the Northampton site of St. Andrew’s.
The post holder will be involved in a wide variety of research and evaluation projects and their role will primarily be to assist in the setup, delivery and dissemination of high-quality research. This will involve, for example: data collection, literature and database searches, contributing to literature reviews, analysis, reports and dissemination of results.
