About St Andrew’s Nottinghamshire

St Andrew’s Nottinghamshire is the ideal place to develop your career. Our expert teams offer a range of comprehensive, specialist care for adult male service users who have been diagnosed with either LD &/or Autistic Spectrum Disorders with often complex behavioural and cognitive needs. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team made up of healthcare assistants, nurses, psychologists and occupational therapists, speech & language and physiotherapists.

We are interested to hear from Occupational Therapists who have knowledge of OT assessment, treatment focused interventions and of outcome measures, experienced in individual and group interventions. Therapists with an interest in and/or experience of Sensory Integration would be encouraged to apply. If you are enthusiastic, committed to driving forward evidence based practice into the development and delivery of value based care within a secure environment this could be the post for you.

You will need a flexible approach to working hours, be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and exhibit attitudes and behaviours reflective of St Andrew’s vision and values.  The successful candidates will have a professional OT qualification and be registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).  Applications are welcomed from well-motivated individuals who are able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility.

St Andrew’s is the UK’s largest mental health charity. We offer specialist secure services for men, women, adolescents and older people across mental health, learning disability, brain injury and degenerative disorders such as Huntington’s and Alzheimer’s. Putting Service Users’ needs at the heart of everything we do, we have built an innovative culture of clinical expertise.
