Location: Northampton or Mansfield

Career Level B / Band 6

Salary:  £29,500 - £37,000 dependant on experience

Hours: Up to 22.5 hours per week.

The Speech and Language Therapy team at St Andrew’s is a small, dynamic and innovative team which provides support with Speech, Language and Communication Needs and Dysphagia/Mealtime Needs of patients at St Andrews. St Andrews cares for patients with complex mental health conditions, ASD, Learning Disability, brain injury and progressive neurological conditions.

 

As a team we support individual development through regular clinical supervision, CPD events/training and monthly team meetings. Members of the team are also encouraged to be involved with audit and service projects and research related to areas of their interest.

 

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a part time Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to work across out Nottinghamshire / Mansfield and Northampton sites. Hours and location of working can be flexible and will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

 

Your Profile

You will need:

  • to be an established Speech & Language Therapist registered with HCPC and RCSLT.
  • to have completed post-basic dysphagia training.
  • established clinical knowledge of and experience working with individuals with learning disabilities/ASD and, or mental health.
  • to be able to travel between sites.

 

You will need to be a confident and creative therapist with expertise in functional and person centered interventions. You will need to be able to work independently with supervision and support from the wider St Andrews SLT team. This is as an excellent opportunity for a therapist wanting to gain experience of service development.
