You can achieve more at St Andrew’s Healthcare
A top 20 UK charity, St Andrew’s is a unique provider of specialist care in mental health and learning disability. We aspire to deliver truly world class, holistic services within our outstanding, modern facilities. Our independence means we can always put patients’ interests at the heart of decision making, while re-investing surpluses in frontline services. We are currently transforming the Charity and have introduced Integrated Practice Units (IPUs) as the vehicle to deliver ‘Value Based Healthcare’. This will ensure our patients consistently get the best possible outcomes and local teams gain more control and responsibility.
We are currently looking to appoint experienced professionals who can work in our autistic spectrum disorder and learning disability IPU to support the current medical and RC team. We are looking for someone who can share their innovative ideas of delivering mental health care to the best outcomes.
We welcome applications from high calibre candidates who can bring relevant skills to any areas of the complex and personalised casework that we undertake. With solid links to the Regional Approval Panel, we have successfully supported a number of our speciality doctors' progress to Approved Clinician status and provide a large range of CPD activities, and opportunities for assessments, research, audits etc.
This is an exciting time within St Andrews with the development of integrated practice units delivering value based outcomes. We are looking for a Speciality and a Senior Specialty doctor who can be a part of this unique opportunity to shape our future services.
Due to the amount of liaison involved with the general hospital and external parties, you will be a strong & effective communicator. MRC Psych is preferable (although not essential) & membership with the GMC will be required. Further career progression in terms of Section 12(2) approval, Approved Clinician status, will be encouraged and supported.
We can be flexible about the number of hours worked from 0.4 WTE to full time.
We are extremely proud to empower the careers of our medical professionals, and our Executive Medical Director and the majority of our Clinical Directors have grown and developed into their current roles within the Charity
We also support a number of our Psychiatrists through an Executive MBA programme at some of the most prestigious business schools in the country. There are also opportunities to attend our regular internal CPD events and for you to develop a medico-legal out-patient practice as part of the St Andrews Consultancy Service.
Please see below some of the comments from current doctors within St Andrews healthcare:
“The working environment is conducive for anyone wanting to learn and progress in medicine. In particular, you will have plenty of senior support and guidance. (I don’t know of any previous post I’ve worked in, in which I have had as much access to my Supervising Consultant/GP).
At St Andrew’s you will definitely feel you are a genuine and appreciated contributor to the Multidisciplinary Team. And, you will certainly feel you are making a positive difference in patient’s lives.”
If this sounds like you then we’d love you to apply here. For an informal discussion about the role please contact James Farrelly on 01604 616624 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
