An opportunity has arisen for Clinical Nurse Leader for Rose Ward in the Men’s Medium Service – Northampton. 

Are you an experienced mental health or learning disability nurse with exceptional leadership abilities?

We have a Clinical Nurse Leader vacancy suited to a nurse that delivers exceptional clinical leadership, a passion for continued improvement and service development and teamwork.

Rose Ward:

Experts in forensic neurobehavioural and cognitive rehabilitation

Rose is a specialist ward for men aged 18-65 with a formal psychiatric or neurological diagnosis, including Acquired or Traumatic Brain Injury, early onset dementia, stroke, epilepsy, Huntington’s disease (HD) and Parkinsons.

Based within a purpose built, medium secure environment, our service offers innovative therapy and treatment from the UK’s leading provider of neuropsychiatry services and the only service of its kind south of Birmingham.  Patients will typically present with cognitive deficits or behavioural changes that in turn require neurobehavioural treatment in an in-patient setting.

The role of Clinical Nurse Leader

 You’ll be the most senior nurse on the ward, maintaining a high profile and visible presence, whilst working as part of the multi-disciplinary team. You’ll lead the nursing shift team, driving the clinical model and contribute to improvements in practice, in conjunction with the Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

Put your leadership skills to the test, leading nursing teams on ward shifts and helping to provide world class mental health services. You’ll also have lots of support to continue your professional development and training and to progress your career.

What you will need for this role

Substantial experience of Working in a secure Environment and with Male patients. You will have High level leadership skills, ability to maintain motivation and to motivate others along with excellent communication and people management skills
