Our Learning and Development team has an exciting opportunity for anyone who wants to expand their knowledge and understanding in regard to facilitation skills.

We have a 12 month fixed term secondment position for a Trainee Essential Skills Facilitator; who will deliver the charity’s non-restrictive and restrictive intervention packages, the Safety Intervention Training programme to our staff, whether that be within our Essential Skills Refresher programme or within the initial Safety Intervention 5 day courses.

They will also champion least restrictive practice, Positive Behaviour Support and assist in the delivery of Basic Life Support.  The role includes the delivery of physical skills and therefore a degree of physical fitness is essential.

Another key part of the role is to assist in the on-boarding experience for new colleagues during Induction and support the development of Healthcare Assistants through the Care Certificate.

Whilst Safety Intervention Training, Induction and Mandatory Training courses carry most of the workload within the role, there are opportunities to continue your own professional development in other areas.

The above post is to facilitate training charity-wide, however we are particularly interested in applicants from the Birmingham & Essex area.

For a conversation about the role please contact Dani Waples on 07816 540372 or email dmwaples@standrew.co.uk.
