The St Andrew’s Veterans Complex Treatment Service is for any ex-service personnel referred by the Treatment, Intervention and Liaison Service (TILS) who require more intensive care and treatment.
The service is designed for veterans from the Midlands and East of England and where the TILS service has assessed them as needing a more intensive care and treatment approach.
How do St Andrew’s and the TILS service work together?
St Andrew's works alongside the TILS service to support the mental health of veterans who require dedicated mental health services for any military related conditions.
Intensive therapy is delivered by St Andrew’s, a leading mental health charity with a detailed understanding of the barriers that veterans may have faced when accessing care before and experience of overcoming the factors that have impacted on their recovery previously.
Who provides the treatment?
Upon referral, each veteran is assigned a Clinical Liaison Nurse who will help them manage all aspects of their care both via the CTS and other statutory and voluntary services they may be involved with.
The Lead Psychologist and multi-disciplinary team will work with each veteran to develop an individual treatment plan.
Where will I receive my treatment?
We deliver the St Andrew’s Veterans Complex Treatment Service through regional hubs in locations that are convenient and accessible as possible for the veteran.
How will the Complex Treatment Service help veterans?
Access to the Veterans' Mental Health Complex Treatment Service is via the TILS service.
This ensures that any previous treatment and support has been considered, and you are referred in a timely manner to your local service.
The service provides a range of intensive care and treatment for people with military related complex mental health difficulties, many of whom will have experienced trauma.
You will be supported by a military aware team who will develop a personalised care plan with you.
How do I access this service?
You can only access this service via a referral from the TILS service.
Please speak to your point of contact at TILS to see if this is an appropriate service for you. If appropriate, TILS team will review your referral and arrange for you to have an assessment with the St Andrew’s Complex Treatment Service.
