We work in partnership with a number of NHS, voluntary, educational and research organisations to deliver a range of specialist inpatient and community mental healthcare services, education and research that helps to improve the lives of people with complex mental health needs.

We currently have opportunities within our Bayley Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit based in Northampton. They offer short periods of rapid assessment, intensive treatment and stabilisation for patients within a locked setting.

Your role with us 

As a Healthcare assistant working in a PICU, you will be supporting staff teams in delivering and focusing on our Patients and their rehabilitation, daily activities and care. The role can be quite active and we would therefore require you to be able to cope with the demands of this post.
The role will involve flexible working hours, these could be early and late shifts as well as long days and will involve rotation onto nights.

Your profile

Applications are welcomed from well-motivated individuals who are flexible, able to demonstrate high standards of care and who possess excellent written and verbal communication skills alongside good IT literacy. You will need to have resilience to work in a secure healthcare setting and this will help you meet the challenges and expectations of working as a Healthcare Assistant.

You will need to be compassionate, resilient, motivated, approachable and reliable. You do not need prior experience of working with in this area as long as you are willing to learn and share our values and drive to provide exceptional services.
