St Andrew’s Healthcare is a charity providing specialist mental healthcare services. We work in partnership with a number of NHS, voluntary, educational and research organisations to deliver a range of specialist inpatient and community mental healthcare services, education and research that helps to improve the lives of people with complex mental health needs.

A little about this role

This role is a 6 month fixed term contract focusing on the temporary staffing provision, flexible working offer and absence management within the charity. The role will be based in Northampton but will also work with our other sites in the UK and have an aspect of flexible working from home too.

The role will be responsible for leading a defined project and delivering it effectively to drive business value. The role will work closely with the Deputy Director of Workforce Planning, Head of Employee Relations, HR operations team, the temporary staffing bank leads and operations.

The role requires dynamic, customer focused and professional service across all aspects of change management in an operation that runs 24 hours, seven days a week. The role will have a real focus on project management skills, organisational design, enhancing and promoting permanent flexible working options and also enhancing the experience of temporary staff; experience in any of these areas would be advantageous.  The role will initially involve analysing data and developing an effective implementation plan working closely with key stakeholders, however the core focus is delivery which will involve positively engaging with a large number of people.

Accountabilities:

  • Defining a project implementation plan with key deliverable milestones
  • Accountable for managing the delivery of the agreed scope / end-to-end outcomes, to time, scope and budget, aligned to business priorities
  • Own and manage detailed workstream plans with clear deliverable dates and stage gates

You will have an enthusiastic, positive, collaborative approach with an eye for detail. The ability to build effective relationships and ensure a starter finisher approach is essential.

You will be able to work autonomously and will deal with matters proactively and effectively.

You will have a good project management skills as well as an understanding of Employment Law and change management.

Experience in delivering high level HR Projects and the ability to strongly manage stakeholder relationships and influence those around you are essential. You will have a proven track record as a HR practitioner with project experience to delivering change in a complex and unionised environment. You will ideally be CIPD qualified or have the equivalent experience to succeed in the role.

Requirements:

  • Project management experience
  • Proven experience in managing charge
  • Proven experience in delivering significant HR change projects
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex information to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Knowledge of HR functional areas (e.g. temporary staffing, organisational design, flexible working) and HR systems is desirable
