The Role

You will be responsible for managing a range of projects with both technology and business change elements and will provide essential support to a portfolio of IT projects, working with the IT departmental resources and the wider Charity to achieve project success.

You will be responsible for reviewing project progress with internal stakeholders, coordinating project reporting and have regular review meetings to ensure projects are on track and tasks are completed on time whilst highlighting any risks to this.  Ultimately your role is to deliver excellent technical deployments that support the St Andrews Charity.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary goal of successfully delivering technology projects, also:

  • Reviewing progress with Internal and partner Project Managers
  • Coordinate project reporting holding weekly review meetings and issuing portfolio project reporting to internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Facilitate the project delivery by taking responsibility of allocated project tasks.
  • Communication to the charity on project roll out and delivery, deployment schedules and ward and office works.
  • Tracking project interdependencies and reporting on progress.
  • Raising and tracking project purchase orders
  • Collating and updating portfolio level risks and issues
  • Maintaining portfolio budget trackers
  • Maintaining portfolio schedules
  • Highlighting issues for escalation

The Person

You will be skilled and enthusiastic project manager with demonstrable success of delivery in challenging environment and have a breadth of technical understanding and competence as well as being very confident and with all Microsoft technologies

You will have experience with full project lifecycle from inception, requirements gathering and resource definition through to delivery and post-project analysis and have experience following accredited methodologies to ensure delivery performance.

You will have excellent communication skills and use of communication mediums for reporting and presentations, be competent with commercial and financial management within a project remit.

Healthcare experience would be an advantage but not essential as we have great support in the team who can help people develop in the role.

You will have a good all-round technical understanding and be able to translate technical jargon for your business clients.
