Salary:  £19,000 - £26,000 (DOE) plus benefits

Hours:  Full time or Hybrid 

This role is an exciting opportunity to begin a career in IT as well as supporting various areas across the charity to help with the recovery of our patients. 

The role is to provide technical support to business applications that are used across the charity. It involves working directly with the end users and 3rd parties where applicable. It’s key that any issues are resolved in a timely manner so that the business or patients are not impacted. You will also support any change projects small or large through the various stages (requirements, design, testing and implementation) as well as ongoing maintenance of software and hardware including patching & upgrades.

 It’s also key that applications are regular assess to ensure ongoing compliance with the standards, processes & procedures that govern the management of IT applications.

With it being a junior role training will be provided that will be a mixture of on the job learning, job shadowing & training courses (classroom & virtual). You will also get exposure to all areas of IT such as Information Security & Forensics, Business Intelligence, Database Management and Infrastructure & Networking.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Break/Fix & Incident Support
  • Monitor application performance
  • Support the business on day to day queries
  • Apply patches/upgrades as and when required
  • Ensure the application(s) comply with the policies that govern IT systems at all times.
  • Risk Management
  • Maintain support documentation and any other associated artefacts.
     
    Your profile
     
    You will be someone with an interest in a career in IT which will be demonstrable through previous projects, self-learning or a recent education qualification.  You need to be a good problem solver, effective communicator, with attention to detail and the ability to remain calm when working under pressure.
     
    A good understanding of Microsoft 365 applications and some exposure to SQL is desirable, although it is not essential.
