37.5 hours per week to include weekend and bank holiday working

Job Summary


The post holder will work as part of the Catering Service team. Core responsibilities are washing pots pans utensils and dishes; general cleaning throughout the departments, e.g. equipment and structural. The job requires the use of pot/dish washer machines; other duties will include the delivery of patient “food trolleys” to and from the wards, supplying meals and deliveries of various sorts to all service areas. Further responsibilities include delivering ward stores and assisting with basic food preparation.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  •  Washing, sterilizing and cleaning of equipment and premises in the catering department, additionally heavy-duty equipment i.e. ovens, hobs, brat pans, dishwashers, boilers, fryers, grills, food trolleys,


The post holder will be required to follow the departmental cleaning schedules and to sign off completed cleaning tasks. This includes, deep cleaning of floors, walls, ceiling and windows. To maintain the wash up area in a clean and hygienic order
