With this in mind we are looking for a driven, passionate and highly experienced Occupational Therapist to lead the Allied Health Professionals (AHP) within our Birmingham service. We want someone who is focussed on patient experience and outcomes; striving to deliver quality AHP treatment and the charity-wide AHP strategy.  The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a dynamic approach; utilising both their highly specialist clinical skills and their ability to lead and advocate for a diverse team within the senior multi-disciplinary structure.

 

We are keen to recruit an individual who has the skills to role model and energise the workforce; understanding that the health and wellbeing of our staff is critical to the care and treatment of our patients. The successful candidate will work alongside Lead AHP colleagues within Northampton and have professional support from the Head of AHP to ensure a collaborative AHP approach within St Andrews Healthcare.

 

You will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the AHP team, its facilities and resources as well as your own clinical caseload within your profession.

 

Applicant requirements:

  • Experience working as a highly specialist AHP with line management and leadership responsibilities.
  • Evidence of leading on quality assurance tasks; service development projects, continuous quality improvement, audits etc.
  • Evidence of independently undertaking tasks related to HR, investigations and safeguarding.
  • Evidence of working on service initiatives/ research/ leadership projects.
  • Evidence of leading and inspiring other in their career.
  • Evidence of participating in central working groups/ external networking groups.
  • Experience of mental health/ inpatient services.
