We’re pleased to offer an opportunity to join our existing risk management team in an established mental healthcare provider as Risk Management Advisor.
Firstly, a bit about us
St Andrew’s Healthcare is a charity providing specialist mental healthcare services. We work in partnership with a number of NHS, voluntary, educational and research organisations to deliver a range of specialist inpatient and community mental healthcare services, education and research that helps to improve the lives of people with complex mental health needs.
The role and person
This new role will report to the Internal Audit and Risk Manager and will work as part of a central team providing risk management services to the Charity across all its operations, services, and its sites.
The Risk Management Advisor role will support the Risk Manager in the delivery of the Charity’s risk management system, working closely with operational and enabling function teams in clinical and non-clinical areas to progressively develop and embed a risk management culture within the Charity.
As part of the central Risk Management function, we act as an “enabler and facilitator” for Charity-wide risk initiatives. Over the past years, this team has been working closely with all tiers of management and staff, to improve risk understanding and risk management culture, that is having a demonstrable impact on the Charity’s operations.
The successful candidate may be considering risk management as a first career step, with the role suiting someone interested in risk management as part of a longer term career objective. This is a great opportunity for somebody who is interested to learn and grown within the Risk Management domain. All adequate arrangements are in place to induct, support, and oversee your growth on a long-term basis. A familiarity in healthcare or care environments is an advantage but not essential.
