We provide care across a number of services, including Men’s Mental Health, Women’s Mental Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Neuropsychiatry, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Learning Disability. Our headquarters and largest site is in Northampton, but we also have facilities in Birmingham and Essex, which provide localised mental healthcare.

Purpose of Role:

The role is to provide ongoing technical & strategic support to St Andrew’s SAP & Success Factors systems. The objectives are to keep the applications and any integrations stable, secure and optimised to their full potential to support the key business functions that rely on them.  In addition, to propose and promote system enhancements and improvements that offer real business value.

To achieve the above, you will need to work closely with the SAP team, key business users, the wider IT department and SAP support partners.  The role will suit an engaging individual with a breadth of knowledge across the SAP landscape, rather than an expert in a single function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the overall manager of the SAP application suite – SuccessFactors, ECC6, Enterprise Portal, MDM & Content Server, supporting predominantly finance, HR, L&D & Procurement.
  • Provide expertise and support for business change projects (leading where required).
  • Be proactive in highlighting ‘the art of the possible’
  • Manage the relationship with support partners.
  • Break/Fix & Incident Support
  • Manage the support and availability of the SAP architecture ensuring minimum downtime
  • Support the business on day to day queries
  • Apply patches/upgrades as and when required
  • Work with the business to establish the change roadmap/strategy this will include technical SAP changes i.e. yearly tax changes as well as functional changes to support business initiatives.
  • Ensure the application complies with the policies that govern IT systems at all times.
  • Risk Management
  • Maintain support documentation and any other associated artefacts.

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Minimum of 5 years SAP experience either as a consultant or an internal support analyst/manager
  • Experience of management of whole systems particularly ECC 6 and Success Factors
  • Basis & ABAP knowledge
  • Experience in multiple functional modules
  • Good general appreciation of the SAP technical landscape and architecture.
  • Experience of at least one full lifecycle implementation
  • Experience of at least one full system upgrade
  • Good communicator
  • Attention to detail
  • Calm under pressure

 Desirable Selection Criteria

  • SQL database management
  • Experience with SAP Mobile and Fiori applications
  • Good Project Management skills
  • Good Problem Solver
  • Flexible
  • Persistent
