Ready for a new challenge implementing physical health excellence across our services?

Location: Northampton
Salary: £38,500 - £42,000
Hours: Full-time

Are you a Nurse, Paramedic or other Allied Health Professional looking for a new challenge? Have you ever considered applying your knowledge and experience in a different health care setting? If the answer is yes then an exciting new challenge awaits you at St Andrew’s Healthcare.

You can achieve more at St Andrew’s Healthcare

A top 20 UK charity, St Andrew’s is a unique provider of specialist care in mental health and learning disability. We aspire to deliver truly world class, holistic services and our independence means we can always put patients’ interests at the heart of decision making, while re-investing surpluses in frontline services.

The Role

We are looking for a credible, professional and dynamic clinician who is capable and ready to be supported through an Advanced Clinical Practitioner Masters Degree Programme to fulfil the expectations and core capabilities as set out out in the Multi-Professional Framework for advanced clinical practice (HEE, 2017) and the Core Capabilities Framework for Advanced Clinical Practice (Royal College of General Practitioners, 2020). The successful applicant will be a team player who enjoys working at the top of their clinical competency who recognises the value of education, support and development within the work place.

ACP’s at St Andrew’s will deliver a 90% clinical component to their role and 10% to delivery of education, policy development and research.

Whilst mental health experience would be preferable, we would welcome applications from registered healthcare professionals currently not working within mental health services who have transferable skills to support our agenda.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for promoting parity of esteem between physical and mental health through the implementation of high quality healthcare across the charity. We plan to bridge health inequality for our patients by:

  • Preventing unnecessary admissions to local acute hospitals
  • Providing a safe resuscitation service
  • Reducing the risks caused by psychotropic medication
  • Increasing access to national health screening programmes
  • Improving our management of long term conditions

There’s no doubt that this is a demanding role working in a very fast paced environment, however for the right individual, this would be a very rewarding role and one which you could really make your own.

Reward

We offer an excellent benefits package including pension, 38 days holiday, sickness policy on par with NHS, life cover, car lease scheme, cycle to work scheme and opportunities for continuing professional development.

For an informal discussion about this opportunity, please contact Stephen Mullen on (01604) 616429 or stmullen@standrew.co.uk

As a CQC regulated provider of healthcare, from 1 April 2022 we will be required to ensure that all of our workforce have had both first and second COVID-19 vaccinations (except for those who can demonstrate they are medically exempt).

We would love you to apply!
