Reducing the journey from injury to home

Facing head-on the challenges and opportunities of neurobehavioural rehabilitation and care over the next 5 years this conference is aimed at healthcare professionals directly involved in the physical, cognitive and behavioural rehabilitation of people who have experienced brain injury.

Delegates will benefit from presentations and workshops by leading specialists that will directly inform their working practices.  The day will focus on practical and relevant topics that are shaping new approaches to care, and explore how the changing legislative frameworks will protect rights and ensure choice for people requiring rehabilitation, and care closer to home.

Professor Rodger Wood and Professor Nick Alderman open the conference by linking key themes in the evolution of neurorehabilitation to a blueprint of how we can sustain innovation through the latest research and practice.  Subsequent presentations build on the theme through a focus on; new models of care; neuro-forensic rehabilitation; new technology and social enterprise. Workshops include; The Rehabilitation Prescription; Co-production with patients, and The Carers perspective.
