As the charity develops to deliver better outcomes for patients, join representatives from our women’s service to learn how Integrated Practice Units (IPUs) will deliver value-based healthcare and focus all of the resources on delivering measureable outcomes and greater personalisation of care.

Sanjith Kamath: Clinical Director, Women’s Service will open the conference with an overview of value-based healthcare.


Emily Fox, Clinical Lead and Jodie Maloney, Operations Lead for the DBT service, will talk about what they are doing to improve outcomes for women with borderline personality disorder, as one of the first services to restructure into an integrated practice unit (IPU)

  • Dr Kamath did his specialist training in adult psychiatry in Cambridge with specialist accreditation in rehabilitation psychiatry and the psychiatry of substance misuse.

Value based healthcare is about arranging what clinicians do around the needs of the patients. Clinical formulations lend itself to describe the idiosyncratic needs of patients by combining psychological theory and personal meanings through a process of ongoing collaborative sense making in order to develop a shared account that indicates the most helpful way forward.

7. Refunds and Cancellations
In the event of needing to cancel your delegate place, a full refund will apply if the cancellation is received in writing by St Andrew’s with more than 2 weeks notice prior to the event. We regret that a cancellation after this time cannot be refunded and refunds for failure to attend a conference cannot be made. However substitute delegates may attend in your place upon your giving us prior notice
