St Andrew’s joins special recruitment campaign

St Andrew’s Healthcare has joined forces with three local NHS healthcare providers and the University of Northampton to launch an innovative recruitment campaign.

The campaign, called ‘Best of Both Worlds’, aims to entice over 500 talented nurses and doctors to relocate from other parts of the UK to live and work in Northamptonshire. Rather than entering into competition for talent, the campaign unites St Andrew’s, the University of Northampton, Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Northampton General Hospital and Kettering General Hospital, in a joint bid to address each organisation’s recruitment needs.

David Anthony, St Andrew’s Head of Recruitment, commented: “We’re looking for first class mental health and learning disability nurses, as well as general nurses to assist with our patients’ physical health care. Our aim is to develop our nurses into future clinical and operational leaders.”

A website for the initiative has been launched, which includes career advertisements and information for nurses and doctors, with interviews and stories from medical and nursing professionals who have relocated and are enjoying living and working in Northamptonshire.

While attracting the very best talent to the county, the campaign also aims to dispel any misconceptions people may have that Northamptonshire is in the North. David continued: “The campaign aims to put Northampton, Kettering and Northamptonshire firmly on the map as a top destination for new and experienced medical and nursing professionals to develop their careers.  We invite anyone interested in working for Northamptonshire to visit the website and find out more.”
