Patient makes beautiful mosaic sign to welcome people to their ward

A patient on Sunley ward in Northampton has been working since May to create a large mosaic plaque to welcome staff and patients to the area.

Patients in the Occupational Therapy Art and Craft group were involved in the sign's design, and with help from Arts Technical Instructor Alison Williams, they worked together worked to create a beautiful, bright and colourful piece.

The talented individual explained: "’We made this to welcome people to Sunley ward. We chose the rainbow and flowers to make it colourful and we chose the sun because of our ward name – Sunley. I really enjoyed making it; I love the way it came together at the end after six months of making it."
